UP technological infrastructure is designed to enable business development opportunities and to promote the emergence of innovative companies and projects promoting cooperation between entrepreneurs, public and private funders, research and training organizations, professionals, firms and young people in search of employment.
Through UP’s crowdfunding portals, innovators and entrepreneurs can gather, from a potentially unlimited number of private and informal investors, the funding needed to implement projects and new ventures. UP implemented a specific portal, addressed to organizations and ONLUS, which is solely intended to raise funds for "non-profit" projects.
UP DEVELOPS THE FOLLOWING CROWDFUNDING MODELS
Backer receives in return a reward or a prize.
Backer is funding the project in terms of pure donation, mainly for philanthropic reasons.
Platform enables the capital loan in a peer-to-peer process ( with a direct relationship between the lenders and the applicants).
Equivalent to a standard stock investment, it provides that the backer receives start-up shares or stocks.
Italy has been the first country to regulate this mode (July 2013) .
UP has submitted to CONSOB the necessary application for the enrollment with equity crowdfunding workers register.
